UBPL 714

This course is directed toward planning students interested in local economic development planning.  The focus of the course is on the implementation of community and neighborhood revitalization programs as well as on the methods used by the public sector to design programs to expand and enhance the level of economic activity within a community, especially to add to the base of jobs for unemployed or underemployed workers.  Students in the course will both study research examining local economic development programs as well as complete a project in the field.
