Architectural Resource Center: The Reading Room collection serves as an immediate reference for students in the design studios. It supports the curricular and instructional studio activities at a basic level and consists of periodicals and newsletters, indices to architecture and design periodicals, basic references, technical references, case studies, general topic readings, manufacturers’ catalogs for architecture, interior design and furniture, reserve copies of books and articles assigned as class readings, university and college catalogs and publications of student work, maps and drawings, videotapes and three terminals for the KU Libraries online catalog, e-mail and internet access.
Craft Shop: The Craft Shop has proven to be an essential element for instruction. Students and instructors have full use of a variety of tools and machinery that enable them to create high quality studio design projects. The shop is open several hours each week and is staffed by trained personnell who are able to assist in both project design and building. KUMC Campus in Kansas City, KS
The KUMC Campus houses a unique studio environment know in the school as KC Studio. A select group of students get the chance to meet with local professionals to discuss the design process as it relates to real world problems. The studio is located at 4125 Rainbow Blvd.
