ADMISSION
Persons whose previous records indicate an ability to succeed with advanced work may be admitted to the Graduate School through the Graduate Program in Urban Planning. Ordinarily, admission requires a bachelor's degree and a grade point average of approximately 3.0 from the University of Kansas or another institution with substantially equivalent requirements for the bachelor's degree.
Decisions on admissions are made on the basis of the information supplied in the application materials described below. Graduate Record Examination scores are not required. However, it is recommended that a student with a GPA below 3.0, and/or low (below C) grades in courses with economic and mathematical content, or lack of undergraduate courses in these areas, submit GRE scores. Thus, the faculty may be better equipped in evaluating the student's prospects for graduate study in the field of planning at K.U.
The University of Kansas is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action institution and encourages applications from women and minority students.
